Welcome to Cebu-Connect Travel and Tours (“CCT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all guests, customers, and partner providers who book or participate in tours arranged through CCT.
By completing a reservation or participating in a tour, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy.
Platform Role and Service Scope
CCT operates as a travel booking and coordination platform, connecting guests with independent local service providers.
CCT does not own, operate, manage, or control any tours, vehicles, equipment, or personnel.
CCT does not act as an employer, agent, joint-venture partner, or legal representative of any service provider.
All tours, transport services, and activities are independently delivered by third-party providers, who are solely responsible for their operations, safety standards, personnel, and service execution.
By confirming a booking, the Guest enters into a direct contractual relationship with the selected service provider.
CCT is not a party to this agreement and shall not be liable for any act, omission, negligence, injury, loss, delay, or service failure caused by any third-party provider.
Guests acknowledge that CCT’s role is limited to facilitating bookings and coordination between guests and independent operators.
1. Booking Process and Platform Use
1.1 Booking Confirmation. A booking becomes valid only after payment confirmation and receipt of our official booking notice.
1.2 Final Participant List. The number and names of participants are considered final upon booking confirmation.
Only name substitutions may be accepted up to three (3) days before the tour date, subject to CCT’s approval and the operator’s acceptance.
Changes to the tour date or participant count after confirmation will be treated as cancellations (see Section 3).
1.3 Guest Responsibility. Guests are responsible for reviewing all tour details, requirements, and conditions prior to booking.
CCT provides information for clarity, but all services are delivered by independent providers.
1.4 Minimum Participation. Most tours require a minimum of two (2) paying adults, unless otherwise stated in the tour details.
1.5 Additional Participants.
Any participant added after booking confirmation or on the day of the tour must complete a separate new booking through CCT or directly with the tour operator, depending on availability.
Inclusion of additional participants without prior confirmation may result in refusal of participation.
CCT is not responsible for disputes, delays, or additional costs arising from unbooked or walk-in participants.
1.6 Platform Availability
CCT strives to maintain continuous access to its website and booking platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may temporarily suspend or restrict access for maintenance, system upgrades, security reasons, or unforeseen technical issues.
CCT shall not be liable for booking interruptions, delays, or losses resulting from temporary website or platform unavailability beyond reasonable control.
2. Payment
2.1 Payment may be made in Philippine pesos (PHP) either:
By credit card upon booking confirmation; or
In cash at the meeting point on the day of the tour (only if pre-approved).
Payment made through CCT represents a booking facilitation transaction for services to be delivered by the selected independent provider.
2.2 Prices may change due to local conditions or exchange rate fluctuations before payment confirmation.
2.3 Refunds, when applicable, are based on the contract price and processed using the same payment method.
2.4 Payment Disputes
Guests agree to contact CCT first to resolve any payment concerns or booking disputes before initiating a chargeback or payment reversal with their bank or credit-card provider.
If a chargeback is filed after a service has been delivered in accordance with the confirmed booking and these Terms, CCT reserves the right to submit relevant booking records, communication history, and participation evidence to the payment processor to contest the dispute.
Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension, refusal of future bookings, and possible legal action where applicable.
2.5 Service Delivery Acknowledgement
Participation in a tour or activity booked through CCT constitutes acknowledgment that the service has been delivered in accordance with the confirmed booking and itinerary, subject to reasonable adjustments due to weather, safety conditions, traffic, or operational considerations as described in these Terms.
Guests are encouraged to report any service concerns to CCT or the tour guide immediately during the activity so that reasonable efforts can be made to address the matter on-site.
Refund requests submitted after the completion of a tour may only be considered if supported by verifiable evidence that the service materially failed to match the confirmed booking description.
Claims made after the completion of a tour without prior notification during the activity may not be eligible for refund or compensation.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy (Philippine Time)
Tour reservations involve advance coordination with transport providers, guides, local facilities, and limited tour slots. Once a booking is confirmed, the corresponding arrangements are reserved specifically for the guest’s participation.
For this reason, the following cancellation policy applies unless otherwise stated in the specific tour details:
3.1 Standard Cancellation Policy
• Cancellation made three (3) days or more before the tour date:
100% cancellation fee of the tour price.
• No-show or cancellation without prior notice:
100% cancellation fee of the tour price.
3.2 Peak Season Policy
During designated CCT Peak Season periods or high-demand travel dates, certain tours may be classified as non-refundable due to limited availability and advance reservations with local operators.
Peak Season policies will be indicated in the booking confirmation where applicable.
3.3 Missed Tours
Refunds are not provided for missed tours resulting from circumstances outside CCT’s control, including but not limited to:
• flight delays or missed connections
• late arrival at the meeting point
• failure to follow pick-up instructions
• participant reduction after booking confirmation
Guests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient travel time and verify meeting instructions before the tour date.
3.4 Refund Processing
When refunds are approved under applicable conditions, they will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible. Processing time may vary depending on the payment provider.
4. Tour Itinerary and Schedule
4.1 Tour schedules (start times, itineraries, and inclusions) serve as guides only.
4.2 Itineraries may change without prior notice due to sea conditions, weather, local events, traffic, or safety measures.
4.3 Tours may proceed in light or improving rain but may be canceled if weather conditions pose risks.
4.4 CCT or the local operator may revise or cancel activities at any time for safety reasons.
4.5 Guests acknowledge that itineraries, timing, and inclusions may be reasonably adjusted by the operator due to safety, weather, traffic, or operational conditions.
Such adjustments do not constitute service failure.
5. Meeting Place, Pick-Up, and Carpooling
5.1 Arrival and Meeting Point. Guests must be ready at the confirmed meeting location — normally the hotel entrance — at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. If the property has no defined entrance, the meeting point will be set at the facility’s main gate or nearest accessible point.
5.2 Pick-Up Schedule. Pick-up times are approximate and may vary depending on hotel location, route sequence, traffic conditions, or the number of passengers. A 15-minute waiting grace period applies; arrivals beyond this are considered no-shows and subject to full-charge cancellation.
5.3 Carpooling Arrangements. Round-trip transfers are provided per assigned vehicle. Language assistance, if included, is provided by the selected operator and may vary depending on the booking. Pick-up and drop-off times may differ according to sequence and route logistics.
5.4 Alternate Drop-Off Requests. Guests may request a different drop-off point along the general route of their original destination. If the new location is reasonably within the same route, the operator may accommodate it at no extra cost, subject to vehicle availability and schedule.
If the requested drop-off is not in the original route, or involves unplanned stop-overs, waiting time, or itinerary changes, additional charges may apply based on the operator’s rate.
Any extra payments for these added services shall be settled directly with the provider or driver.
CCT’s responsibility covers only the inclusions listed in the final booking confirmation; it is not involved in or liable for any agreements, fees, or disputes arising from additional or modified services arranged on-site.
5.5 Guest Responsibility. Guests are expected to respect the group’s schedule, follow the guide’s instructions, and notify the language assistant of any special arrangements before departure.
5.6 Off-Platform Arrangements. Any services, modifications, or agreements made directly between the Guest and the provider outside of the confirmed booking are undertaken at their own risk.
CCT shall not be liable for any disputes, costs, or issues arising from such arrangements.
6. Participation and Safety
6.1 Tours listed on CCT are delivered by independent local operators.
6.2 All guests must follow guide instructions and safety rules. Failure to comply may result in removal from the tour without refund.
6.3 Please consult us in advance if you are elderly, pregnant, or have a disability or health restriction.
6.4 CCT may deny participation to anyone deemed unfit or under the influence of alcohol.
6.5 For safety reasons, guests should not bring valuables other than the tour fee. CCT and operators are not liable for loss or theft.
6.6 Guest Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward guides, drivers, fellow participants, local communities, and wildlife. Any behavior that is abusive, disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful may result in removal from the tour without refund.
CCT and its partner operators reserve the right to refuse participation or terminate a guest’s involvement if the guest’s conduct threatens the safety, comfort, or enjoyment of others.
Any costs arising from such removal, including transportation, accommodation, or alternative arrangements, shall be the sole responsibility of the guest.
7. Weather, Wildlife, and Force Majeure
7.1 Some attractions, including whale-shark encounters, depend on natural conditions. Sightings cannot be guaranteed.
7.2 Refunds apply only if the site is officially closed or access becomes impossible (e.g., ₱1,000 refund per person for canceled whale-shark activity).
7.3 CCT is not liable for changes, delays, or cancellations caused by natural disasters, strikes, transportation issues, or other force majeure events.
8. Equipment Use and Media
8.1 Equipment and Amenities. CCT does not own or supply personal gear such as GoPro cameras, snorkel sets, towels, or similar items. Availability of such equipment depends entirely on the participating local operator or facility. Some items may be available for rent or purchase onsite, but CCT cannot guarantee stock, pricing, or condition.
8.2 Any complimentary or rental equipment provided by the operator is extended purely as a courtesy service. CCT does not assume responsibility for its functionality, maintenance, or data retrieval.
8.3 Guests are responsible for the proper care and safekeeping of any rented or borrowed equipment. Any loss or damage shall be settled directly with the operator or rental provider in accordance with their own policies.
8.4 CCT is not liable for data loss, malfunction, or damage to any device used during the tour, whether personal or rented.
8.5 Unless you notify CCT in writing before the tour, photos or videos captured by the operator during the activity may be used in CCT’s promotional materials, social-media content, or marketing campaigns.
9. Special Activity Terms (e.g., Kawasan Canyoneering)
9.1 Participants must sign a liability waiver before joining.
9.2 The activity involves physical risk (slips, falls, injuries). By joining, you accept these risks and agree to participate at your own responsibility.
9.3 CCT and its partners reserve the right to refuse participants who cannot safely complete the activity.
10. Insurance and Liability
10.1 CCT operates as a booking platform and facilitator connecting guests with duly licensed and accredited local tour operators, transport providers, and service partners. While we coordinate bookings, itineraries, and payments, each tour, transport, or activity is operated independently by the corresponding provider. A confirmed booking constitutes a direct service engagement between the guest and that provider.
10.2 Each operator or service partner is solely responsible for its staff, vehicles, facilities, permits, equipment, safety standards and service delivery. Descriptions, photos, and rates shown on our website or materials are based on information supplied by these providers and may change without prior notice. CCT makes no representation or warranty as to the accuracy, condition, or performance of third-party services.
10.3 Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain personal travel insurance that covers accidents, medical emergencies, and property loss for the duration of the tour.
10.4 Limitation of Liability. CCT, its owners, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or expense arising from—
• Acts, errors, or omissions of third-party operators or their personnel;
• Force majeure events such as weather disturbances, natural disasters, or transport disruptions;
• Participant negligence, late arrival, or failure to comply with safety instructions; or
• Misrepresentation or breach of obligation by any third-party provider.
10.5 To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, CCT’s total liability related to any booking shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by the guest for the affected service.
10.6 Guests acknowledge that participation in travel, outdoor, and marine activities carries inherent risks, which they voluntarily assume. CCT does not guarantee absolute safety or the availability of specific natural phenomena such as wildlife sightings or weather conditions.
10.7 Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless CCT, its officers, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, or costs resulting from their participation, conduct, or breach of these Terms and Conditions.
12. Price Adjustments and Participation Counts
12.1 Tour prices may be adjusted due to local facility rate changes.
12.2 The total tour cost depends on the number of participants at the time of booking.
If fewer participants join on the day, the original booking rate still applies.
Additional guests require a new confirmed booking before joining.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
Any dispute shall be resolved under Philippine jurisdiction, with venue in the courts of Cebu City.
