1. Is it safe to do all three activities in one day?

Yes. This route is a standard South Cebu combination itinerary guided by trained professionals. Safety briefings are provided before each activity.

2. Do I need to know how to swim?

No. Life vests are mandatory, and both the whale shark encounter and canyoneering have guides assisting non-swimmers.

3. Are cliff jumps required?

Guests are only required to jump the initial 1m jump. The rest are optional.

Your guide can give you easier paths around each jump point.

4. What should I wear?

Quick-dry clothes, rashguard, aqua shoes or secure sandals, and sun protection. Avoid flip flops and loose slippers.

5. Are GoPros allowed?

Some CCTT tour providers already include one GoPro/action camera in their package at no additional cost. Please refer to your selected tour package for inclusions.

If not included, GoPro/action camera rental is available and payable onsite at the following prices:

-₱550 - Oslob

-₱600 - Sumilon Island

-₱800–₱1,000 - Canyoneering

Please note that rates may change without prior notice.

Your tour assistant/driver can assist in coordinating the rental.

6. Is the water cold?

The canyon water is cool and refreshing year-round.

7. Is there a minimum requirement to join the Canyoning activity?

This activity is good for individuals at least 3 feet tall, and physically and medically fit.

Due to safety concerns and the intense physical demands involved in this activity, it is not recommended to pregnant women or anyone with impaired physical mobility, medical condition such as high blood pressure, epilepsy, etc.

Kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

8. Is the canyon trail difficult?

It's moderate, with a mix of trekking, floating, sliding, with a required 1m jump and optional jumps that are up to 11m high.

9. What happens if the weather is bad?

Activities may pause, reroute, or be cancelled if weather or water levels pose safety risks. If a cancellation is made before starting the activity due to severe weather, guests may choose an alternative tour or request a refund.

Refunds do not apply to cancellations caused by guest decisions, late notifications, or once the vehicle has been dispatched.

10. How long is the actual canyoneering activity?

Around 3-4 hours, depending on group pace and conditions.

11. Can I do zipline?

The zipline is optional and may be taken at the start of the canyoneering trail.

Some CCTT tour providers include the zipline at no additional cost—please refer to inclusions of your selected tour operator.

If not included, the zipline fee is at ₱800 per person, payable onsite directly to the facility.

Guests who choose not to take the zipline will proceed via the standard trekking route with the guide.

12. Is this tour always available?

Canyoneering activities are closed on Good Fridays. Canyoneering is also not available every third Wednesday of the month for cleanup schedule.

Everything felt smooth from start to finish. The guide gave clear instructions for the whale shark encounter and made sure we felt safe the whole time. Sumilon Sandbar was breathtaking — we got amazing photos! Highly recommend.
